049-Paloma the Airy Fairy 049-Paloma the Airy Fairy   $15.00

This is Paloma the airy fairy. She is 20 inches tall and has removable wings. This special pattern was inspired by a very special little girl named Paloma. I was asked to design a doll for her in conjunction with her room redesign by Room for Joy, www.roomforjoy.com. Paloma is just 11 years old and suffers from Osteo Sarcoma, bone cancer. She has already had one arm amputated and is undergoing a great deal of treatment. She loves Tinkerbell©, but I thought she deserved a special fairy named for her. This magical fairy was designed just for Paloma. "Paloma" the Airy Fairy flies during the day on fanciful wings. At night she hangs them on a twinkle star to gather the magical star dust that aids her daytime flight. You will find the enchantment when you make your own "Paloma". Make this wonderful fairy to give to a special little girl and you will see magic happen. She is an easy doll to make and her costume requires very little sewing. Her wings are simple and are removable. Use your imagination and your "Paloma" fairy will magically come to life. This pattern is on paper and the instructions are on a CD in a PDF format.

The instructions show how to sew the simple clothes to the Gnome dolls body so it is not necessary to fully sculpt the Gnome doll, just the face and hands. These dolls are both string jointed, so that they can sit and stand. You will love making these simple dolls to give as good luck gifts or just to keep for yourself. The Gnome is a great little doll to make for the Christmas holidays or even St. Patrick’s Day as a leprechaun. You will also come up some
creative uses for these two unusual dolls.
